TRAVEL DAY TO WASHINGTON, D.C.

Thousands of survivors and organizations from across the nation will travel to Washington, D.C., to build community, share experiences, find strength in healing, and champion a new victims’ rights movement.

The Crime Survivors Speak March on Washington will kick off with an opening welcome reception on the evening of September 23, 2024, to set the tone for two days of healing, connection, and empowerment.

March, Rally and Candlelight Vigil

On September 24, 2024, survivors, advocates, and organizations will gather at Union Square, on 3rd Street SW near the capital, for a march, rally, and candlelight vigil to honor ourselves, remember our loved ones, and advocate healing, prevention, and recovery.

Healing Festival

After the rally and candlelight vigil, join us for lunch, a resource fair, and a healing festival at the National Mall between 9th and 12th Street NW. Be part of a movement that demands change and bring your voices to the National Mall and the halls of the Nation’s Capitol.

Lobby Day

Several survivors and advocates will meet with congressional representatives and senators to discuss policy priorities, share personal stories, and advocate for legislative changes. Join the movement that demands change and bring your voices to the National Mall and the halls of the Nation’s Capitol.


The event will end at 4:00 pm on September 24, 2024.
